Things Happen FOR You, Not To You

They say every situation has a silver lining. This is true - because no matter what, one can find a positive! But, let’s be real, sometimes it takes a little more searching to find it.

Whether it’s a long term relationship that just ended, or maybe you left your job. Typically, there is a morning process. Take some time to think about that relationship or situation and ask yourself, was I truly happy? Was that fulfilling? How did that make me feel? Did it bring out the best in me?

More times than not, looking back, it may not have been a good fit. It’s times like this, when we need to realize that - THINGS HAPPEN FOR YOU, NOT TO YOU.

And that, in order to get to where you are supposed to go, to move forward, we have to leave what is behind us, behind and don’t look back!

Some things aren’t meant to be in our lives in the way that we want them to be. If we try to hold on or force things, no matter what, it’s not going to work out in the long run.

When it comes to relationships, there is so much pressure to be in one and get married, especially when you are young. It’s common to rationalize that we should make it work, because after all, we’ve already put in X amount of time or maybe we think that this is it.

Let’s take the pressure off of ourselves, and fall in love with us first. That way, the standards of who and what we choose to have in our life will be much higher and we won’t feel the need to settle for less. Remember, you are deserving of a love and a life that is fulfilling and brings you joy. Take time to focus on yourself, to grow and to discover what truly makes you happy. Remember, every moment of hardship is an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Embrace this journey with an open heart and trust that the universe has a plan for you!
